WEEKLY RECAP
MONDAY, MAY 6 (Click here to watch on TikTok)
On Monday I reported on the flooding in Brazil, the flooding in Kenya, the new LGBTQ laws in Iraq, Turkey’s air strike on Iraq, and 2 bombings in DR Congo.
UPDATES:
Brazil continues to be pounded by heavy rains. The death toll has risen to 127, with many still missing.
The flooding in Kenya has also claimed more lives. That death toll has risen to 267!
Rights groups are reportedly ‘alarmed’ by the new restrictive laws in Iraq… but that basically means nothing other than that they’re aware of it, and don’t like it.
Turkey’s attacks on Kurdish military sites in Iraq continue… as the week went on, they destroyed 27 PKK targets.
The death tolls from the 2 bombings in Congo have also risen, now totaling 35.
KELLERMAN’S FAVORITE COMMENTS:
“I learn more about world news from this legend than from all other news outlets. Short and sweet.”
“F*ck, the news is always so heavy. Wishing people could all just live in peace - especially children.”
“Thank you so much for providing news that most don’t get to see. Because these areas don’t hold any financial or political value to the "‘Developed Nations’ they don’t make it to mainstream news. Thank you.”
“The End is near.”
TUESDAY, MAY 7 (Click here to watch on TikTok)
On Tuesday I focused on news around the United States. The Boy Scouts of America changed their name. Donald Trump’s classified documents trial was delayed indefinitely. Stormy Daniels took the stand in Trump’s hush money trial. And tornadoes ripped through Middle America.
UPDATES:
A number of people in the comments asked if the Girl Scouts are going to change their name… and no. They’re not. And while I personally don’t care what either organization calls themselves… I do understand people’s confusion.
