New York financial officer and Mayoral candidate Brad Lander was detained by ICE after getting between the Immigration officers and an undocumented immigrant at an immigration court house.

• They really did him dirty with some of these published pictures.

• Lander linked arms with the detainee, Edgardo, demanding to see a judicial warrant before stepping aside.

• You can see the video of the arrest here:

• Masked ICE agents forcibly separated and handcuffed him on the spot inside 26 Federal Plaza.

• He was held for several hours and released without charges—campaign says no formal allegations were filed.

• NY Governor Kathy Hochul called the arrest “unjust,” while DHS said it was for assaulting law enforcement and obstructing federal officers.
