In Belarus, authoritarian President Alexander Lukashenko has been sworn in for his seventh term.

• The presidential terms in Belarus are 5 years long, and Lukashenko has been president since the country became a republic in 1994.

• The most recent election was considered a total sham by multiple countries including the U.S. Lukashenko is widely known as “Europe’s last dictator”.

• I had a difficult time finding a video of just his oath and subsequent speech that was translated to English… but I did find this one from News Times… I should mention that this video is not marked AI… but it is DEFINITELY using AI to translate his voice and change his mouth movements. That said, I did check to see if the translation is accurate and it appears that it is.

The European Union issued a warning to all 450 million of its citizens encouraging them to stockpile enough supplies to last at least 72 hours as war, cyberattacks, climate range, and disease have increased the chances or a crisis.
