Welcome to The F*ckin’ News Follow-up. I’m your host Kellerman, and a lot of sh*t happened this week… Let's go a little deeper.

This week Mozambique, Belgium, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Spain, Argentina, Russia, and in the United States: Oregon, Washington, and New York all made it into the F*ckin’ News. You can watch a recap of it all here:

MONDAY, OCTOBER 28

Some of you may not know that The F*ckin’ News is not my full-time job. I have a full-time job at which I work about 60 hours a week, and I do all the F*ckin’ News stuff in (all of) my spare time. And sometimes… I just don’t have time to make an episode. In fact, every once in awhile I spend so much time researching a story that I run out of time to record a video. That wasn’t the case on this Monday, though. This Monday I was catching up on the previous week’s newsletter, and editing the Kamala Harris and Donald Trump Watchalongs which I had been too busy to edit previously and I realized… they won’t be relevant forever haha. So I opted to work on those instead. I’ll link those posts below:

On Tuesday I reported on deadly clashes between police and protesters after the election in Mozambique, ballot boxes being set on fire in Oregon and Washington, 100 people being sentenced in Belgium’s largest drug trafficking trial ever, Israel’s parliament passed legislation banning UNRWA from operating within Israel, as well as an update on Israel’s war with Gaza and Lebanon.

NOTES/UPDATES: 

• The footage of police dispersing protestors in Mozambique is pretty scary and obviously I don’t have a way of personally verifying the death toll but assuming it’s accurate, it is surprising that only 11 people lost their lives. (Still too many, obviously.) You can see some footage and an interview from Al Jazeera here:

• They still haven’t caught the ballot box arsonist, but there also haven’t been any new reports of burning ballot boxes. To note: there were reports that the devices used to burn the ballot boxes had “free Palestine” written on them, but I couldn’t find enough reports that included it.. to include it in my report. If you haven’t seen the footage of the officer putting out the burning ballots, you can see it and the press conference held here:

• Euronews did a good short video on the 100 people sentenced for drug trafficking in Belgium.

• I recorded a segment about Hezbollah naming their new leader Naim Qassem… but had to cut it for time (Instagram reels can only be a maximum of 1:30). It was a short segment but if you want to watch me say what you just read, you can see it here:

• After numerous investigations and posthumous private data being collected, a number of UN officials have been outed - not just as Hamas supporters - but as actual members of Hamas themselves. So it’s no surprise that Israel shut down their operations within the state, but the impact this decision has on the humanitarian aid currently getting into Gaza will be detrimental. How do you feel about that?
