The F*ckin' News Weekly Recap - October 14-20, 2024
Welcome to The F*ckin’ News Recep. I’m your host Kellerman, and a lot of sh*t happened this week… Let's break some of it down.
Whew! What a week. Denmark, Madrid, Italy, Albania, Canada, India, Nigeria, Ethiopia, North and South Korea, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, and in the United States: New Jersey, California, Florida, North Carolina, and Wyoming all made it into the F*ckin’ News. You can watch a recap of it all here:
MONDAY, OCTOBER 14 (Click here to watch on TikTok)
On Monday I reported on a commuter train hitting a tree in New Jersey, a third assassination attempt on Donald Trump that turned out not to be a third assassination attempt on Donald Trump, Joe Biden announcing plans to add $612 Million to relief funds for victims of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Space X having a rocket booster successfully return to its dock, and NASA launching its first mission to Europa (one of Jupiter’s moons).

NOTES/UPDATES:
Here’s some drone footage of the train and the tree. No further updates on that story.
So Vem Miller turns out not to have been planning to assassinate Trump, but here’s why they thought he was:
For Joe Biden’s $612 Million to relief funds for victims of Hurricanes Helene and Milton… you can watch the full briefing here, which includes a break down of how some of the money will be used:
We’ve been shooting rockets into space for decades, but returning the booster jet to its station is an INCREDIBLE FEAT. Seriously. It is so incredible that people don’t even believe it. I had comments from people saying it’s a launch being played in reverse. But it isn’t. It is a rocket booster programmed to return to its starting position. Truly amazing. Watch it here:
The Europa Clipper launch is interesting. The moon is icy and possibly possesses the necessary conditions for life… but is it REALLY? necessary? I’m personally undecided (though I was accused of posing the question in a way that indicates I don’t think it is a good use of our resources… which isn’t the case. The fact is… I don’t know if it’s a good use of our resources). The most common argument for space travel seemed to be the inventions we use every day that were originally developed for space travel. (You can see a list of the top 10 of those things by clicking HERE).
Anyways… here is NASA’s official video of the launch:
KELLERMAN’S FAVORITE COMMENTS:
This comment made me laugh. To be fair, this Europa mission has probably been in the works FAR longer than that mission to the space station has been… and logistically probably could not be used to bring them home. However… I do imagine those stranded astronauts watching all these launches thinking ‘how much longer do I need to eat food out of a bag before they bring me home?’
Ohhhh boy do I wish it were an ‘either/or’ situation. But unfortunately… the money being used for space travel does not deduct in anyway from the money being spent on war.
I love this. There were actually hundreds of responses to this person’s comment… most of them defending me, but the best part was simply people arguing over whether I’m liberal or conservative. That tells me I’m probably doing the unbiased center thing pretty well!
