The F*ckin' Newsletter 6.16.24
Welcome to The F*ckin’ Newsletter. I’m your host Kellerman, and a lot of sh*t happened this week…
WEEKLY RECAP
Another crazy news week! This week’s reports focused on Nigeria, Malawi, North Korea, South Korea, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Mexico, Kashmir, Ukraine, Italy, Argentina, as well as Miami, Oregon, New York, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia in the United States.
MONDAY, JUNE 10 (Click here to watch on TikTok)
On Monday I reported on a gang attack on the village of Yargoje in Nigeria, the Vice President of Malawi’s plane going missing (with him and 9 others on it), a barn fire in Ohio, an apartment fire in Miami where a man who had been shot was discovered, a bull getting lose in Oregon, and the continued non-violent feud between North Korea and South Korea.
NOTES/UPDATES:
I got a number of comments from people who live in Nigeria who were unaware of the Yargoje news… and first of all, I think it’s absolutely amazing that people are watching my show all over the world. I love when people tell me where they’re watching from. Second of all, this isn’t the first time that people local to the area of a report enter the chat to tell me they were unaware. It is always surprising.
Saulos Chilima - Malawi’s Vice President - was found dead the next day along with the other 9 passengers of his plane, which had crashed into a forest due to dense fog. His political party is demanding an investigation. (Naturally.) Here’s what the President had to say…
A number of people came to the comments with suspicions about world leaders dying in mysterious ways recently… and even though this was extremely unexpected… planes do crash sometimes. Obviously I cannot rule out the possibility of this being some politically-motivated murder… but I haven’t read anything that has led me to believe that’s the case. What do you think?
Though the investigation is still underway for the barn fire in Ohio that killed 44 horses and injured a man (I mistakenly left out the word “injured” in my video so it sounded like the man died) no foul play has been suspected in any of what I’ve read. Online fundraisers have raised close to $350,000 for those affected.
There’s a suspect in custody for the apartment fire and gunshot victim in Miami. 73 year old Juan Francisco Figueroa, who was seen running from the building shortly after gunshots and an explosion were heard. 43 residents are displaced by the blaze, and Figueroa faces multiple charges including arson and attempted murder.
I had reported that the gunshot victim was found dead, but later reports confirmed he lived! He was transported to the hospital along with 3 firefighters and 1 other resident. He is in critical condition while the others receive treatment for less serious injuries including smoke inhalation.
It was a pretty big fire! Here’s a quick video with the least amount of fluff I could find:
The bull getting loose in the rodeo in Oregon was a pretty disturbing video in my opinion as it gores and flips a woman like a rag doll (who wears RED to a rodeo??)… but if you’d like to see it, I’ll include it below:
Later in the week, there were reports of a North Korean military platoon crossing the border into South Korea and exchanging fire with South Korea’s military… but that seems to have been a misunderstanding and not only did the North Korean military cross the border unintentionally, but there was no “exchange of gunfire”, instead they were warning shots fired by South Korea.
Russia’s Vladimir Putin is planning to visit North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, which is worrying to The United States and South Korea, who have warned against the two forging closer military ties.
KELLERMAN’S FAVORITE COMMENTS:
TUESDAY, JUNE 11 (Click here to watch on TikTok)
On Tuesday I put out 3 videos… A Middle-East-focused report on the 4 Israeli hostages that had been rescued from Gaza, the death toll the operation left behind, the conflicting reports of its use of the humanitarian aid pier, a report on Israel’s use of white phosphorus munitions on Southern Lebanon, and the resignation of Israeli war cabinet member Benny Gantz.
I also put out a separate video about this very Substack Newsletter! (Watch it here.)
And finally - I reported on the Hunter Biden illegal firearm trial, ICE arresting 8 immigrants suspected of having ties to ISIS in 3 major cities across America, over 4,000 people being displaced by gang violence in Tila, Mexico, and a group of militants killing 9 Hindu Pilgrims in Kashmir, India. I also gave updates on the Vice President of Malawi and corrected the whole “man found shot to death” thing from the Miami fire report the day before. (Click here to watch on TikTok.)
NOTES/UPDATES:
First I’ll include a clip of the bodycam footage of the hostages being found if you haven’t seen it:
It’s pretty typical that the comment section on episodes about Israel and Gaza are filled with various conflicting points of view… but this event was exceptionally difficult because there were a LOT of incomplete and unconfirmed reports at the time of my recording, which means I had to leave a few details out… such as the IDF using a humanitarian aid vehicle to infiltrate the civilian area, which Israel flat out denies (though they made no comment on the use of civilian clothes being worn during the operation). There is a video that was released by Al Jazeera of aid trucks supposedly being used by the IDF… but I don’t see anything in the video that proves this was taken during the operation…
There were also reports of the IDF using the pier built for humanitarian aid in the operation… but as I dig it seems there is more evidence to suggest they did not. (The pier, intended to be temporary, has had a lot of issues. Not only have their been reports of it being difficult to dock with, walk on, and deliver to… but it keeps breaking away entirely. At the time of writing this, it has just broken completely for a 3rd time.)
Something heavily debated in my comments was the death toll, which I said had been reported by “Hamas officials”. Soon after the Gaza Health Ministry reduced and confirmed the number of people killed and injured (though it is still a lot). But I got A LOT of comments saying things like “are we supposed to believe the numbers given by Hamas officials?” and it struck me that it may not be common knowledge that almost all of the numbers we have regarding the death toll in Gaza are from what can be considered Hamas officials. Third part organizations are slowly confirming… but when an event happens… Hamas officials and the Gaza Health Ministry (which operates under Hamas) are the first and only organizations to report death toll numbers.
I also noticed an incredible variety in how this was reported with most left-leaning sources focusing on the hostages saved and a lot of right-leaning sources focusing on the death toll left in the wake of the operation. Which… to be fair… was considerable. That said… the one thing that was widely reported across all sources was that the hostages were rescued from a residential house. So while the loss of innocent life is always tragic… it stands to reason that the residents were either helping to keep the hostages captive of their own volition… or being used by Hamas, purposely putting them in harm’s way.
The Wall Street Journal released a series of messages from Hamas’ military leader Yahya Sinwar they had obtained, in which he reportedly said that the civilians being killed by the IDF were “necessary sacrifices” and saying that they have Israel “right where they want them”. I didn’t report that because the messages were not (and still have not) been verified… nor has the time at which they were sent been verified. For all we know, they could be from an entirely different conflict. That said… it certainly does seem from an outside perspective like the people of Gaza are being put in harm’s way by their government (whether they believe in the cause or not is a different matter). You can read the exclusive Wall Street Journal article HERE (but it’s behind a paywall).
As for the report of the IDF using white phosphorus in Lebanon… using white phosphorus on people (civilian or otherwise) is a war crime. But there are other things that white phosphorus is used for, especially on the battle field that do not constitute a war crime. My understanding is that Lebanese munitions are missile launching sites are hidden and the white phosphorus makes them visible. According to the report many people in Lebanon had been affected by the white phosphorus, but it is still not 100% clear whether this is an unintended consequence, or if the IDF intentionally used white phosphorus on populated areas.
As for Benny Gantz, I can’t seem to find a video of his full speech unedited or without people commentating over it… so here are two clips that show a bit of what he said as he stepped down from his position in the Israeli war cabinet if you’re interested:
KELLERMAN’S FAVORITE COMMENTS:
As for the Substack video I posted on the same day, I’ve been selected as one of Substack’s new Fellows which basically means they’re going to help me do all the things I had been planning to do by myself anyway! Pretty soon I’ll be uploading at least 1 exclusive Substack video per week, plus even more extra content for the paid newsletter subscribers. Don’t worry… nothing will change on Instagram and TikTok. I’ll still be posting my daily reports for free there. But Substack will (hopefully) allow me to build a community that won’t be shadow-banned for saying the word “Hamas” or suppressed simply for reporting the news. I’m also confident that the comments and chats on this platform will have far fewer bots and fake accounts!
Speaking of which… I’m afraid I’m going to have to cut off the free subscribers here today. If you’d like to read the rest of the newsletter for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with more outtakes, polls, updates and favorite comments… it’s only $5 a month! (Cancel any time.)
