Boy… a lot of sh*t happened this week! Nigeria, Venezuela, Bangladesh, Iraq, Serbia, Austria, Ukraine, Russia, Maui, England, Thailand, Ningbo, Sao Paolo, and in the United States: Washington D.C., North and South Carolina, and Florida all made the F*ckin’ News. Watch it all in this week’s round-up below:

MONDAY, AUGUST 5 (Click here to watch on TikTok)

On Monday I reported on the ongoing protests in Nigeria over economic disparity, the ongoing protests in Venezuela over questionable election results, ongoing protests in Bangladesh over job quota law reform, and a missile attack on a military base in Iraq that injured a number of U.S. citizens stationed there.

NOTES/UPDATES: 

• The Nigerian protests over the cost of living have gone on 11 days despite a government crackdown and police stepping up their presence in major cities. There have been 22 deaths and over 90 arrests related to these protests that began last Thursday.

• The President of Venezuela, Nichola Maduro, appeared before the Supreme Court to justify his actions following the country’s election. And immediately after, called this press conference:

• Bangladesh’s student-led protests have lead to the country’s Chief Justice and Central Bank Governor stepping down.

• For the attack on the base in Iraq, it’s been reported that 5 US personel were wounded and Joe Biden has been surprisingly silent about it.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 6 (Click here to watch on TikTok)

On Tuesday I didn’t have time to make a F*ckin’ News, but I did put out a few clips from my Watch-along of the NABJ interview of Donald Trump… and the comments were quite the mixture of funny, angry, and confused.

NOTES/UPDATES: 

• I’ll mention this in my next watch-along, but the point of these is to encourage people to watch these speeches… even if they might otherwise not. Perhaps watching it along with me is more fun? At least that’s the hope. Though it does require having a sense of humor about the whole thing.

KELLERMAN’S FAVORITE COMMENTS:

Well it’s true. Trump accused ABC News of not reporting something that I had reported.

I only called it “accordion hands” because I didn’t know how else to describe it… and it’s probably the drinking game rule that got me f*cked up. Definitely a keeper for next time. Also someone elsewhere in the comments asked me to photoshop an accordion into his hand… and I don’t know how to do that but luckily… someone else already did!

Aw… I love this!

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7 (Click here to watch on TikTok)

Wednesday’s report included protests in Serbia after the government made a deal with the European Union to mine more lithium, a thwarted terrorist plot to attack a Taylor Swift concert in Austria, the Ukrainian army crossing into Russia and attacking the Kursk region, $4 billion in settlement payments going to victims of the Maui wildfire, and the increasing unrest across the UK after the mass-stabbing of children last week in England.

NOTES/UPDATES: 

• Tens of thousands of people continue protesting the lithium deal in Serbia, which apparently had been discussed in 2022 but was put aside after major protests… and then suddenly sprang back to life recently. The government thinks it will be good for their economy but the people seem to know that the impact on the environment is too great.

• A third person was arrested in connection with the terror plot at a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna. They confessed to planning on running into the crowd and attacking people before detonating a bomb. Holy SH*T!
