Truthfully, it felt like kind of a slow news week. Not that things weren’t happening, of course they were. It just felt like a lot of updates on things that had been ongoing, and it’s difficult to report on the smaller events when so many extremely large events are happening in the background. Still… Spain, Chilpancingo, Mexico, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Italy, North Korea, Russia, Ukraine, and in the United States: Arizona, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Burbank, California all made it into the F*ckin’ News. You can watch a recap of it all here:

MONDAY, OCTOBER 7 (Click here to watch on TikTok)

Monday’s report included Spain’s (and really, the world’s) first all-Trans-man soccer team playing their first pro-league game, the mayor of Chilpancingo being decapitated after 6 days in office, a journalist from Arizona trying to set himself on fire at a pro-Palestine rally in D.C., the devastation of Hurricane Helene on the east coast of the United States that some feel has been lacking in media coverage, and the incoming Hurricane Milton.

NOTES/UPDATES:

  • Fénix FC is the name of the first all female-to-male trans athletes… Reuters made a good short video that includes an interview with some of them:

  • Gustavo Alarcón has taken office after Alejandro Arcos was beheaded. Oh, speaking of which… this isn’t social media so I can post the video I saw that actually had images (blurred out, of course) of Arcos’ body and… separately… his head. Here if you want to see it:

  • Here’s a picture of the new Mayor being sworn in… it looks an awful lot like the Hitler salute, but I don’t think that’s what it actually is.

  • For obvious reasons, I used a censored video of Samuel Mena Jr. setting his own arm on fire in the F*ckin’ News video but if you’d like to see the real uncensored video, that’s here:

  • Self-Immolation is an extremely violent way to make a point and I’m not sure it increases awareness for anyone who isn’t already aware. But… of course, I could be wrong. What you do you think?

  • And I am truly shocked that people were hearing about the devastation on the east coast from Hurricane Helene from me first. I feel like I’ve been seeing a lot about it but I realized… I’m constantly reading news haha. That probably isn’t true of most people and I forget that I’m even some people’s ONLY source of news. It was the biggest story so I put it last, but it probably should have been first.

  • And something I’m barely seeing any coverage of is Acapulco, Mexico being left in shambles after Hurricane John! Here’s a quick video of the aftermath:
