I herd some reports that the government tried to detour the hurricane with cloud seeding? if this is true did it make the rain worse I have not seen a hurricane cause this much rain and flooding in the past? usually it causes sea waters to swell and wind but not this much rain?
I’m from Georgia and have immediate family members who live in Alabama. Luckily my family is ok and there’s no real damage to their property or mine. On the other hand I have seen the damage that has been done around me. It’s devastating I really can’t imagine what this means for the people around me. Katrina was bad but in my opinion this storm was way worse because of the damage especially in North Carolina. I think it was two or three dams broke on top of flooding, on top of high winds and I’m talking tornado like winds that lifted whole roofs off of buildings, winds that ripped trees up out of the ground roots and all. It is indescribable the extent of the damage that affected the south east of the united states. (Fact check me) The last I heard The government has made it very difficult to rescue those who were trapped in the mountains or even bring aid to them. FEMA is out of money and Kamala has thrown $750 dollars in the face of ppl who have literally lost everything. It’s beyond an outrage and there’s nothing about it on tv.
Reading this Substack article and watching the news coverage of the relief efforts that are being made has helped me realize that this storm relief effort is going to take time. It was a natural disaster that has torn whole towns and cities across five or six states. I just felt bad for the people who were trapped for multiple days on end and felt like immediate action for those people should have been priority. Our national guard could have done something to help them sooner but I get the fact that things take time. I’ve also realized how much misinformation or lack of information has affected the way I view and feel about this whole situation. I really appreciate the time you take doing this because it makes a difference in the way people view real problems and occurrences that have happened.
I followed you over here from Instagram. I also believe that the media is not doing this hurricane any justice nor what the people of these states are currently going through. They are reporting that only hundreds of people are gone missing when in fact, the people and the videos that I’ve seen people are stating that the numbers are way higher than what the media is stating.
I’m constantly impressed by the balanced reporting you provide. Thank you.
This means a lot. Thank you. Virginia
